![]() ![]() The shelters are composed of three closely spaced concrete structures. The Bonneville Salt Flats Rest Area shelters appear to be from the 1960s or 1970s. Those features were removed when the building was remodeled for EOS Fitness around 2020. The building later housed a Sports Authority. The building was later adapted for Gart Brothers Sports Castle and the crenellated towers to the left and right of the entrance were added. The Dee Events Center at Weber State University was built from 1975-1977. The building was probably built at that time. The school moved to this location in 1967. The Applied Technology Center is located at the Salt Lake Community College. In 2019, the structure above the roof was removed. I assume that the wooden, A-framed shaped skeleton structure at the entrance was originally roof or designed to look like one. It has been The Spot since at least 2007. In 1971, it became The New Age of Aquarius, a private club. The Spot was built in 1961 as a Chinese restaurant. Does anyone know what it was built for and/or when? It looks like it may have been a greenhouse. The Ditta Cafe, previously Diva's Cafe, has a 1960s looking "bubble" dome attached to the main building.
